Dr C J Harrison
MB ChB PhD FRCGP
Dr Harrison joined the practice in 2004, having previously worked at a practice in Didsbury for 9 years. He enjoys all aspects of general practice.
He is also a Senior Lecturer in Medical Education. He normally works in the practice on Mondays Thursday afternoons and Fridays.
Dr A Evans
MB ChB MRCGP
Dr Alexandra Evans graduated from the University of Leicester in 2003. Alongside her general practice training, she gained a diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Family Planning and Sexual Health.
She is available to fit contraceptive coils on lunchtimes. She is also a trainer at the practice and is involved in the teaching of junior medical students at the practice. Outside of the practice Dr Evans has a new job as Training Programme Director for GP Trainees this means she will no longer be working in the practice on Monday’s.
Dr Evans will be available for appointments on a Tuesday afternoon and all day Friday.
Dr A Symcox
MB ChB MRCGP
Dr Symcox qualified in 1988 with post graduate qualifications in family planning and obstetrics.
She has varied interests which include minor surgery, primary prevention and cardiovascular disease and womens and childrens health.
She is available in the practice on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Dr H Caulfield
BSc MB ChB MRCGP
Dr Heather Caulfield qualified from St Andrews and Manchester Medical School in 1995. She joined the practice in 2007.
Her special interests include: women’s health, including family planning, postnatal care; child health, including Wednesday morning baby clinic.
She currently works Wednesday mornings providing family planning services Implanon/Nexplanon fitting) and baby clinic; she also works Thursday mornings.
Dr R Farrington
MB ChB MRCGP DTM&H,
PGCert in Higher Education 2016, SFHEA 2016
Dr Farrington qualified from the University of Dundee in 1990.
Dr Farrington is a salaried GP at the practice covering Friday afternoon surgery.
For the rest of the week she works at the University of Manchester medical school teaching undergraduate medical students.
Dr Farrington also works one day a week at the Mental Health Trust in a project supporting refugees.
Dr D Walshe
MB BS MRCGP 2011 University of Newcastle Upon Tyne
Dr Walshe is a salaried GP who works at the surgery on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Dr R Jellyman
MB ChB 2007 University of Birmingham
Dr Jellyman is a salaried GP who works at the practice on a Monday.

Our practice manager oversees the staff and the smooth running of the practice.
She will be only too willing to help you with any administrative or non-medical aspects of your health and treatment.
Please be aware that meetings with the practice manager are by appointment only.
Claire
Claire is our reception supervisor.
Claire is the first point of contact should you have any queries or comments about the running of the reception area within the practice.
Reception Staff
The team is responsible for making appointments, dealing with requests for repeat medication and general enquiries.
Their aim is to help in the smooth running of the practice.
They have a busy and difficult job and act on the instructions of the doctors, so please be a ‘Patient Patient’.
All information given to them is treated in confidence and they are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the doctors and nurses.
The more information you are able to give them the better they will be able to assist you.
